Welcome to One Day Living
The name, One Day Living, comes from the realization that we can start a new day one way, and have our world completely changed by one life-altering event by nightfall. How we respond to the difference a day can make will aid in our ability to hope for a second chance. Welcome to One Day Living. Please take this opportunity to explore our mission and vision for celebrating second chances.
We are a non-profit organization focused on providing daily necessities to working families currently undergoing treatment for a life-threatening illness. This is accomplished through inspirational workshops and seminars and hosting fundraising events.

One Day Living-Today Newsletter
The birth of One Day Living took place on the way to my fourth chemotherapy treatment. When I received a life-changing phone call on January 8, 2002, I was not expecting to become a victim of cancer at the age of 36. As the doctor described the diagnosis, I saw my life flash before my eyes and I was sorry for taking life for granted. However, when faced with this jolt of reality and given a second chance, I wanted to help others who had faced similar struggles find restoration and renewal by recognizing that life is a gift from God and that every day is significant.
Many times hardships create the stepping stones for greater blessings and this organization is the blessing that came from trials that my family and I have experienced together.Esther Hughes, Founder and Executive Director
